2nd time here ... the food was on point! Delicious Margaritas and very delicious menudo and chili relleno. I can fill up on chips, salsa and beans, very delicious. Next time we are bring our friends that will be visiting for Super Bowl. Hey, that's next week, yahoo! The waiter was very efficient and hospitable. We forgot to take photos, next time.
One of my favorite local restaurants! The food is consistent, the menu has variety, the wait times are not long, and the staff are friendly. We walked in and got a booth around 5:30pm. Each table is served chips and two salsas with a pico di gallo and a spicier salsa. We each ordered combo plates and I got the chicken enchilada and the chicken tamale. The food was fresh and tasty - the green sauce on the tamale was a bit spicy and the red sauce on the enchilada was more mild. Each combo plate comes with refried beans and rice. Overall a good experience. It is consistently good here.
Christmas Eve dinner. Service was quite slow but it was a holiday. More than half full and only two servers. Enjoyed margaritas and Shirley temples for the kiddies and chips and salsas. Kids had quesadillas and fries which were very generous portions. We adults had chicken nachos, tostadas, beef tacos, fish tacos, chicken taquitos and more. Food was hot and fresh and very tasty. Our group was 9 so the tip was added. Enjoyed the dining experience this evening.
This place is awesome! Had lunch here with about 18 other people for a little Christmas gathering. The service for our party was fantastic! Always a full water glass! Endless supply of yummy fresh chips and salsas! The food, the food is super delicious! I thought only California had delicious Mexican food, but I was completely wrong! This place rocks! Everybody's meal was fantastic and I mean everybody's! You have to try the seafood ceviche it is to die for! Fresh seafood in a wonderful tomato, onion, cilantro and lime bath. Another great night at Murrietas on Vista. I almost feel like they will start yelling NORM! when we walk in - because we come here so often. Tonight ws - Anaheim Popper (always) to share and I had the fish tacos, he had the carnitas in green sauce - so good! We ordered a pitcher of margs for the table -- and we went with Mezcal instead of Tequila. And guess what...??? We got the WORM! DH ate it -- but I stayed with just the mezcal margs. They really set us up for success when we come here for dinner!
Prices were a little high for 2 orders of flautas and guacamole. The chips were warm and I love the salsa. Servers are always quick and kind. Clean inside. I like to sit outside when the weather is nice.
Just ordered delivery for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. Recently moved back to the area and was looking for Mexican one day. I stumbled across Murrietas and I'm in love! Their roja salsa is delicious, and they have great portions. I've tried all of the following: -Chicken Mole Enchiladas: so good I've had it both times. -Crispy shredded beef tacos: delicious, and stayed crispy for delivery. -Birria tacos: They didn't include the consume, but they were still great. California does Birria better. - Potato Taco: wouldn't order again. Tijuana does potato tacos the best.
Loved loved loved the food. Looking for homestyle Mexican food. This is a good place to try. We were a large party and they accommodated us without issue. The staff was fun and ready with suggestions. It was quiet and relaxing. Great dinner spot
